West End Winter Lantern Festival

Start your festive season by joining this magical and memorable community celebration in Morecambe’s West End. Everyone’s invited to join the procession as it weaves through the streets, featuring lanterns created by local people, and led by Baybeat Streetband.

Start the evening in the warmth of More Music, with a gig showcasing the music  we’ve made together over the autumn. Then join the parade, which will culminate in a special performance outside the building, in collaboration with our friends from Cacophany Arkestra.

Featuring light projections, dance, music and loads of community spirit, the West End Winter Lantern Festival will create light and warmth in Morecambe!

4pm: Hidden in the Earth Below – a cosy, caring mini musical performance from More Music’s ensembles inside More Music – book in advance to ensure a seat! (Booking Link will appear soon!)

5:15pm: Collect your lanterns downstairs and enjoy a performance from Hind and the Jafar Cakes, whose music transcends all differences!

5:45pm: Line up for the procession

6pm: West End Winter Lantern Procession starts led by Baybeat Streetband

7pm: Crow and The Oak Tree from Cacophany Arkestra and leo&hyde. A high-energy show that cares about the planet and its people, featuring giant animations and dancing, strumming, honking, stomping crows!

More Music is delighted to be working in partnership to present the West End Winter Lantern Festival, with Cacophany Arkestra, Leo&hyde, Ludus Dance, Northbound Dance, Sound Intervention, individual local residents and organisations including Unique Kidz and Co, The Well Communities, Sandylands and West End Primary Schools, Bay Leadership Academy and Morecambe Bay Academy.
