Girls Can

Saturday 20 September – 2pm-10pm

Sunday 21 September 2025 – 10am-3pm

FREE

(includes light pizza dinner on Saturday evening and free entry to Bryony Jarman-Pinto gig for Girls Can participants)

Girls Can is an opportunity to form bands, develop as artists, network, build skills in sound, lighting and studio engineering as well as developing confidence and music industry knowledge.

Supporting those who are not typically represented in the music industry, Girls Can is open to young women and non-binary people aged 12-19

Bryony Jarman-Pinto, Jazz FM vocalist of the year nominee, will be part of the Girls Can team supporting the participants as they create music together. She will then invite them behind the scenes as she soundchecks and prepares to take the stage for her Saturday evening gig at More Music.

The weekend will have a focus on freeform songwriting, inspired by the approach that Bryony takes with writing her own music. We’ll explore a range of ways of creating new songs and how to add harmonies and backing vocals.
