Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet

Support from Aimee Williamson: Pendle Witch. 7pm, outside More Music

Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet move with ease and confidence between swampy jazz, raucous brass, fractured funk, blues balladry, and gorgeous folkloric textures. Connolly’s powerhouse vocals lead the charge, blending mischief, protest and vulnerability into something fiercely human and utterly live.

We’re so glad to present the band’s signature blend of protest soul, twisted folk, deep groove and joyful abandon in Morecambe following their tour of Europe and North America.

Honeyfeet are a fluid and fearless unit featuring whose voice is equal parts fierce, tender and fearless, connecting ancestral song traditions with contemporary storytelling. Ríoghnach has won the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Folk Singer and BBC Radio 2’s Folk Singer of the Year and has shared a stage with Annie Lennox, Celeste, Nadine Shah and many more.

She recently ran a fantastic With One Voice singing workshop at More Music so this a great chance to meet her again!
