Planting bulbs and more
Simple and satisfying! Take it home and watch it grow!
Weaving willow bird feeders with Jessie
Spend a little time mindfully designing and crafting a bird feeder!

Bay Blueprint for Recovery
Wildlife of Morecambe Bay art stall and workshop. Create artworks that express your care for the local environment.

FoodFutures and the Closing Loops project
Are you compost-savvy? Play the “Will it compost?” game, learn more about how composting works, and find out why it’s a great way to take climate action locally and how you can make free compost soil at home.

Veggie Synth Jamz
Music made from vegetables? You heard it right!?Playtronica interfaces allow you to trigger tasty sounds with almost anything.

Hapazome flower bashing
Smash the dye from leaves and flowers to make impactful artworks! We will definitely engineer some moments of musical crossover with Baybeat Streetband performances: hammering in time to the tunes.

Guy’s Guitar Clinic
Bring your guitars for assessment by guitar clinician Guy Morris!
We’re expecting lots of smaller jobs to be sorted on the day eg. Restringing but other guitar issues may well warrant a follow up at Guy’s shop at The Music Spot in Lancaster.

Meet More Music’s Green Team
A new group of young people spending a year focussing on climate change. We’re looking for more members and more ideas that make a difference.

Schedule for Performances

12pm – Baybeat Streetband
Sharing new drum and brass tunes as well as classics from our 30 year career on the streets of Morecambe and beyond!

12:30pm – Folk O’Lune with Maypole dancing
More Music’s folk group led by Ben Farmer take play acoustic dance tunes, maypole frolics and freakouts.

1pm – Ballad of the Selkie – a dance performance from Aimee Williamson.

Enter into the watery world of the Selkie, who finds herself with the audience on land, an environment not made for her. She will build connections, explore, play and make a home here, all before the call of the sea takes her back, like the ebb and flow of the tide.

1:30pm Walk in the Woods
A story in sound for the under 5s and their adults. The story of the woodland unfolds before your eyes as you explore all of the senses. We’ll be taking a journey through the woods and seeing what we can smell, touch, see and hear along the way. A fun, new workshop developed by More Music mentee, Colette Webb, with support from Anni and Ben – More Music’s Early Years team.

2pm – Bay Youth Voices
More Music’s primary’s pop choir sharing their latest versions of high energy and high drama hits.

2pm – DoodleBug Movement Workshop
Join the LPM team for an inclusive, playful and creative dance and movement workshop for young children and their grownups. Suitable for children with and without disabilities. Older siblings welcome.

2:20pm – Folk O’Lune with Maypole dancing

2:50pm Baybeat Streetband

3:10pm Ballad of the Selkie

3.30pm – Live music from young performers
