Anni is a choir leader, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her belief in everyone’s ability to sing and that singing is a great tool with which to build community underlies all her work. As does the knowledge that it makes us feel good.
Among the numerous choirs she now leads, Dot Crotchet and the Raging Harmonies was the first. A women’s choir that have performed at many events and venues across Lancashire, including The Platform, The Dukes and most recently with Ludus for the Mill Girls project at the Harris Museum. Their performance inside the Music Room in 2015 to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the Landmark Trust is possibly the most unusual to date.
As a performer, Anni has sung with international renowned artists including Robyn Hitchcock and Jane Siberry, and sings with four-part a’capella group #SASS tackling current affairs and issues with humour.
Anni is a champion for the under 3s leading More Music’s Clapping Song, a regular early years session for the under 5s and their families. She has enjoyed the development of the Magic Islands sessions with their focus on multi-sensory play. She is also very experienced working in a variety of school settings, and finds project or topic-based songwriting in primary school particularly enjoyable.
Anni has also worked extensively with SEND children over a number of years.
