SEND Musicmaking

Ideal for: Learners of all ages with Special Education Needs and Disabilities

Typical structure: No typical structure, completely bespoke

Subsidised by Lancashire Music Hub covering 50% of regular cost to schools

For learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, we recognise that music can eliminate some of the frequent barriers to participation and allow individual’s personality and creativity to shine. Our most popular workshops are based around percussion and singing, but we’ll build every session around the needs of your learners.

We can work wherever you or your learners are based, as a one-off or on a regular basis. Single sessions are great to introduce variation to routines and develop new skills. Our longer-term programmes – whether for a few weeks or for the whole year – allow significant, sometimes life-changing, progress to be made.

What’s involved?

More Music can offer a programme of subsidised bespoke music provision for SEND schools in Lancashire. Working with your school, we can support your delivery of the music curriculum and devise a package of activity that engages and inspires your pupils and staff.

We have a great team of talented and dedicated music leaders, who have many years of experience working in SEND settings with children with complex needs, delivering inclusive and interactive music-making activities.

This is subsidised by Lancashire Music Hub by 50%, meaning we can offer music sessions at half our regular cost.

This can include our LYVE SEND vocal sessions, working with PMLD students to develop their voices. It can be curriculum support, a bespoke creative project or staff training, we will work with you to respond to the needs of your school and pupils.
