More Music is proud to announce their award of Bronze Charter of Best Practice from ‘Attitude is Everything’.
Attitude is Everything was set up to improve Deaf and disabled people’s access to live music by working in partnership with audiences, artists and the music industry to implement a Charter of Best Practice across the UK. It encourages the music industry to understand the requirements of Deaf and disabled people at live music events and to implement best practice in order to provide a fair and equal service to their Deaf and disabled customers.
As part of the charter we have made some key organisational changes including; free essential companion tickets, ensuring that our building, including the stage, is fully accessible.
Loz Kaye, Artistic Director said,
“We are delighted to have signed up to the Charter of Best Practiceand are proud to have secured Bronze status. We want everyone who visits us to have an excellent experience.
We have worked closely with Attitude is Everything to ensure that potential issues are identified and practical solutions are implemented. We are now working towards the Silver Charter and will continue to take note of the needs of our Deaf and disabled visitors.”
More Music believes that music is for everyone, and the charter demonstrates our commitment to ensuring an excellent welcome and experience for diverse audiences and artists.
