More Music’s longest running project, Baybeat Streetband brings good times and great tunes to your event!
Featuring a blend of Brazilian, Cuban, North African, Asian, Caribbean, Pop and more, the band featuring horn section and percussion are ready to entertain and engage with crowds in static sets and on parade.
The band is proud to welcome all ages and abilities to the band meaning that we have a fun, playful family feel with remarkable young musicians performing alongside a mixture of professional and community players.
Classic Baybeat repertoire features James Brown, Bob Marley, Yazoo and Salt ‘n’ Pepa alongside original tunes and breaks and more recently we’ve discovered the joys of playing sea shanties, merengues and hip-hop.
The band have performed at Kendal Calling, Encontro Streetband Festival in Glasgow, Manchester Day Parade and are also very happy playing smaller fun days and fetes.
We’re happy to travel to gigs further afield…and normally perform three of four 20 minute sets within a 3 hour period.
