Small Sign, Big Message

For the ‘Small Sign, Big Message’ project funded by Creative West End, over the festive period and into the new year, you’ll be able to spot painted signs in shop windows across the West End of Morecambe.
Painted by artist Shane Johnstone, More Music has facilitated the project in the hope that it will encourage the people of Morecambe to shop local this Christmas and help support independent businesses through this difficult time.
Here is a list of just a few wonderful shops and businesses in Morecambe, some of whom have featured in this project, who would welcome your support.
- Textile Candy
- Bay Framing
- The Restore
- The Bay Bistro
- Oggy’s Cycles
- G.W.Interiors
- Bankmoor’s Relaxation and Gifts
- Eden Music (Vinyls)
- Old Pier Book Shop
- Little Shop of Hobbies
- Barbara’s Wools
- Beach Bird
- Daisy Morecambe
- Ram Ceramics
This is but a few of the brilliant, unique businesses in Morecambe that offer excellent gifting opportunities for you and your loved ones, but there are many more. Please check out Explore Morecambe Bay for more info.
Please remember to stick to government guidelines when out shopping and stay safe. If you’re currently isolating or don’t want to visit the shops in person just yet, then check out Explore Morecambe Bay’s guide to Buying Local From Home.
Although this project is encouraging shopping local this Christmas in what has been an extremely difficult year for independent businesses, they need your support in the coming months more than ever too!
Think local. Think community. Think of each other.
