Clapping Song sessions are for children under five and their parents or carers. The sessions focus on building confidence, language skills and strengthening bonds between children and their parents or carers. We know that the benefits and pleasures of music in our lives can start at a very young age and the sessions are an ideal introduction.
Expect to sing both new and familiar songs, including name songs, nursery rhymes, finger rhymes and action songs. And because movement and action are so important for children’s development we include lots of games that are fun as well as educational, for example, musical obstacle courses, musical relay races, silly song writing and action stations.
Led by Music Leader Anni Tracey who has over 15 years experience as a community choir leader and workshop facilitator and is widely experienced in working with all age groups and abilities.
