With One Voice with Loz Kaye
A joyful, welcoming workshop celebrating the power of song to promote wellbeing and health. Singing is good in so many ways from the physical to the psychological; it improves breathing, and stimulates the brain, it is fun and singing in a group with can build friendships and self-confidence. The research is there – now come and find out for yourself and take part in the practice! No previous experience necessary.
We will learn and share a varied mix of repertoire and exercises exploring singing and the healthy voice.
The event will also see the launch of our ‘Singing Is Good For You’ campaign to promote the benefit of song in community wellbeing – there will be a chance to hear and share stories of inspiring work that More Music and others are pioneering.
More Music Artistic Director Loz Kaye has worked widely with vocalists, theatre music and community choirs. Recently he led the Encounters Choir project culminating at the Harris Museum in Preston.
All voices welcome, just take a deep breath and be ready to join in.
Please bring lunch to share.
