Our ‘Singing for Health’ group is in partnership with Bay Medical Group.


From Tuesday 13 April | Sing It Out! | 4pm – 5pm | Online zia Zoom

Find your voice at our informal singing session for 11-18 yr olds. In this group, with an emphasis on supporting positive mental health through singing, you can sing out stress, sing out strong or simply start by singing something small. No experience required – this is a safe group for anyone with social anxieties, maybe looking for ways to manage your different moods and meet new friends.

Learn to play percussion, brass and woodwind instruments in our vibrant carnival band. Play a unique blend of Brazilian, Cuba, North African, Asian, Caribbean and pop-based rhythms and tunes.

There’s a strong emphasis on inclusivity, personal development and fun in this interactive music session. Devised for adults who need support while they learn, for example due to learning difficulties or physical disabilities, and so each participant is accompanied by a carer.

Are you aged 14 – 25 and interested in a career in the music industry?
Would you like to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work in the industry?
Would you like the opportunity to gain real life experiences of producing and running events, promotion, marketing, sound and lighting, artist development and management?
If you are passionate about developing a career in the creative industries, then this is the group for you.

From Wednesday 5 May | 6 – 7pm | LYVE | on Zoom

Sing, Write, Harmonise and use your voice creatively with LYVE (Lancashire Youth Vocal Ensemble).

These weekly online voice workshops led by Ash Murphy and Emma Williams will cover a variety of things from;

-learning familiar and new songs

-improving your vocal skills

-developing your harmony singing

-exploring vocal percussion and beatboxing

-trying lyric-writing as a singer and rapper

No experience necessary just come along, sing, feel better and be part of the group.

7.30 -9.30pm Chinese Ensemble

Learn how to play real Chinese instruments like the Ruan (moon guitar), Erhu (violin) or Dizi (flute). All the instruments are provided.

From Thursday 6 May | 6 – 7pm | Stages | On Zoom

This term at Stages we will be running Bedroom Beats.

Join our team of producers, songwriters, musicians and lyricists and make the most of the lockdown by developing new skills in music production, recording, beat making, music theory, lyrics and song writing, remixing and mastering.

Whatever genre you are into, from metal, hip hop and rock to acoustic pop, you could have a track ready for release by the end of term!

And all you need is your phone, tablet or laptop and free software bandlab available online to turn your device into a studio. No extra equipment is needed.

Are you aged between 6 and 12 years and love singing?

Want to develop your vocal technique and learn how to sing in a group?

Then come along and join our Bay Youth Voices zoom sessions and sing songs ranging from Dua Lipa to Elton John, meet new people and have fun!
