Rude 2.0 feat. Annie Whitehead
Rude 2.0 is the FX-laden quartet of Annie Whitehead (trombone & eects), Chris Dowding (trumpet & electronics), Jennifer Maidman (bass) and Liam Genockey (drums) playing a mixture of free improvisation, combined with reggae, funk and other grooves.
Trombone Virtuoso Annie Whitehead has worked with Penguin Café Orchestra, Carla Bley, Robert Wyatt and has toured with South African Jazz big band The Brotherhood of Breath.
Plus support from David Ross
David Ross is a restless and unconventional multi-instrumentalist who brings an intensely musical quality to every instrument he touches. In recent years he has become increasingly absorbed in analogue electronics and has developed The Davestation – an electronic instrument morphed from his earlier invention The Drossillator.
Ross remains perhaps the only musician to have composed an album entirely using an analogue synthesizer built into a kettle.
Annie will be running a Big Band Breakfast Workshop on Sunday 24 February. Click HERE to find out more.
