“My major musical influences today are Eric Dolphy, Portishead and Pharoh Sanders.”
“My signature workshop is creating instant streetbands with beginners, a million instruments in a room and make a performance happen in two hours.”
What inspired me musically: “I did work experience at More Music at the age of 14 after just learning to play the sax. After spending time helping to run music workshops, I performed at the Youth Music Big Gig in my second week on its 10th anniversary – it was my first performance and it was awesome! I stayed on as volunteer and trainee, which led to music college and working professionally with More Music.”
Matt can deliver workshops in drumming (from around the world), streetband sessions, whole class instrumental tuition, brass, gamelan and music tech
